Reconstruction of Randalls Island Ramps to RFK Bridge

Project Overview

Our staff is responsible for structural design and MEP services for the design-build of two new vehicular ramps; one from Queens to Randall’s Island (QR) and another from Randall’s Island to Manhattan (RM). These two new ramps will replace existing ramps; and the existing QR ramp is to be demolished once the new QR is in place and operational.

After completion of the new RM ramp, the existing two-way RM ramp will only serve public traffic to Randall’s Island from Manhattan. MTA Bridges and Tunnels (MTA B&T) Maintenance and Operations will still be able to use the Randall’s Island to Manhattan direction of the ramp, and the ramp will be configured for official use only.
