Replacement of 11 Elevators at 7 Subway Stations

  • Client: MTA Construction & Development
  • Location: New York, NY

Project Overview

We were entrusted with providing construction management services for MTA C&D as part of the elevator renovation project spanning seven stations across the transit system. These stations included Jamaica Center, Sutphin Blvd., Flatbush Avenue – Brooklyn College, Church Ave., 34th Street – Harold Square, and 207th Street in Manhattan. The project’s scope involved the comprehensive oversight of various trades, such as structural, electrical, communications, mechanical, architectural, ADA compliance, and asbestos management. Additionally, we were responsible for supervising the construction schedule and coordinating with the contractor. Notably, the project also encompassed the conversion of a restroom at the Flatbush Avenue-Brooklyn College Station.

To ensure the project’s success, we assembled a highly skilled team of experts proficient in elevator installation coordination, machine room configurations, and well-versed in the latest elevator codes specified by both New York City Transit (NYCT) and the American Society of Testing and Materials (ASTM).
